This guide is meant to discuss Inter Library Loan Service and how it contributes to the teaching, learning and research activities.

1. Does the interlibrary loan service cost money?

ANS: The service is free to eligible staff and students of BUAN.

2. How long does it take to receive ILL request? 

ANS: It solely depends on how easy the item is to locate and also on the promptness of the lending institution. The set turn-around time for BUAN Library to fulfill all ILL requests is a maximum period of 7 days. 

3. How many items can I request though ILL?

ANS:  There is no limit for the number of request made through ILL

5. Will my ILL request be processed on weekends or holidays?

ANS: Yes it will be processed

6. What happens if the item borrowed becomes overdue or if I have damaged or lost the item?

ANS: All damaged or lost items have to be replaced by the borrower. Overdue books attract overdue charges and have to be paid by the borrower. 

7. Who do I contact for the ILL service?

ANS: Email Client service section at: client.service@buan.ac.bw OR ask for assistance from any librarian at the circulation desk.

8.  Can ILL books be renewed?

ANS: It solely depends on the lending library.

9. What if I no longer need an item I requested?

ANS: Immediately contact the client service staff so that the request can be cancelled.
